Airline or Flight Questions

As recommended by the airlines and TSA, you should arrive at the airport 2 hours before your flight.

The airport does not provide shuttle services. There are, however, many private transportation companies to choose from.

The airport terminal has an outdoor pet relief area in the courtyard after security screening. Please check with your airline for its specific policy when traveling with pets.

In the event of missing or damaged luggage, please contact your airline directly for assistance.

In the event you arrive at the airport without valid identification, you may still be allowed to fly. The TSA agent may need to ask you additional questions to confirm your identity. Please allow for extra time to complete this process and arrive at least 2 hours before your flight. For the official rules please see the TSA Website.

Items left on the airplanes are retained by the airline. Please call your airline to report any lost items.

Each airline has their own baggage restrictions and rules. For the most up-to-date luggage rules, please contact your airline for details.

Parking Questions

For current parking rates please visit our parking page.

Lot 4 has designated disabled parking spaces located near the new terminal available at the $13 ADA Daily rate, but you may park in any of the lots at the ADA rate with a valid ADA plate or placard.

We have conveniently placed kiosks in every parking lot, as well as in front of the terminal. The kiosk by the airport terminal at Door #2 accepts both cash and card payment. Please note that it does not give change, nor does it accept bills over $50.00. The kiosks in the parking lots only accept card payment, including VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card, and PIN-less debit cards.

Before you start the kiosk process, please have your payment method and license plate number ready.

There is no maximum length of time you can park. You may park in any of our designated parking lots for any length of time with a valid parking ticket. There are no designated long term or short term lots. Please note, daily permits cover 24-hour periods starting at the time of payment, not per calendar day.

We do not tow vehicles unless they are abandoned. It is more likely that you will return to a parking citation issued by the airport. If you call the Airport Administration office Monday-Thursday during normal business hours, arrangements may be made to pay for the extra day in lieu of paying the citation amount.

If your citation is due to expired parking you may simply call the Airport Administration office and pay the extra day(s) you owe. Once we receive your payment we will void your citation.

You may also pay your citation by mailing in the fee using the envelope provided or by going to citationprocessingcenter.com. If you choose to contest your citation, you may do so at the same web address.

General Aviation Questions

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has mandated Security Directives for all Part 139 airports. Under this directive, all individuals having unescorted access to the Airport Operations Area (AOA) will be required to have airport identification badges. The AOA is defined as all areas within the fenced portion of the airport.

To issue identification badges, the airport must collect information from each individual, perform a security check, and train each individual as to their responsibilities. This entails an online training class. Please visit badging.sloairport.com to learn how to apply for a new badge.

Getting a badge depends on how fast you clear the TSA threat assessment. The process can take anywhere from one to two weeks. When your badge is ready we will call you to let you know. The fee for an AOA badge is $56.00, due when you pick up your badge.

There is an expiration date on the bottom of the card printed in red. Your badge will be turned off on this date. You may renew your badge anytime within 30 days before this date without disrupted access. The fee for a renewal is $15.00.

The renewal process has recently changed. Please visit the following page to fill out our online renewal form and register for your recurrent training course: badging.sloairport.com/badge-renewals.

You must contact the airport administration office no later than 30 days after your expiration date to arrange for a renewal. After 30 days, you must start the process over again (including retaking the class) and re-paying the $56.00 initial badge fee.

For more information, please visit: https://badging.sloairport.com/badge-renewals

No, you must be affiliated with the airport to have a badge. If this no longer applies to you, your badge will be disabled. Please return your badge to the airport administration office. Badges that are not returned will receive a lost badge fee.
