Student Art Contest

From the hills to the sea, show us how aviation connects to where we live.
Students in grades K–12 (public, private, or home-schooled) are invited to submit original artwork for our annual airport calendar contest. This is a chance to showcase creativity, celebrate aviation in our community, and see your art published!
Submission Checklist:
Be a student in grades K–12.
Create one entry per student.
Draw your own original artwork (no AI, tracing, or digital edits).
Use 8.5″x11″ paper in landscape format.
Reflect the theme: “Wings Over SLO CAL: From the hills to the sea, show us how aviation connects to where we live.”
Include a parent/guardian signature on the Entry Form PDF.
Mail your entry no later than October 20, 2025 to:

Include your entry form with contact info so we can reach you if you win.

Please Note: The contest is open to students in grades K–12, with one original hand-drawn 8.5″x11″ landscape artwork per student. Entries must be postmarked by October 20, 2025 and mailed to 975 Airport Drive, Suite 1, Attn: Calendar Contest, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. Winning entries will appear in the 2026 airport calendar, with students honored at the Board of Supervisors meeting in January 2026. By submitting, students and guardians grant San Luis Obispo County the right to reproduce and publish the artwork for print, online, and promotional purposes.
