The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has mandated Security Directives for all Part 139 Airports. Under this directive, all individuals having unescorted access to the Airport Operations Area (AOA) will be required to have Airport identification badges. The AOA is defined as all areas within the fenced portion of the airport.
To issue identification badges, the airport must collect information from each individual, perform a security check and train each individual as to their responsibilities. In some cases individuals may be required to pass a fingerprint-based criminal history records check.
ACCEPTED FORMS OF IDENTIFICATION:
In order for your application to be processed, you must bring two of the following documents:
Valid Drivers License, Passport, Social Security Card
For U.S. Citizens born abroad, in addition to the required documents above bring one of the following:
U.S. Passport, Certificate of Naturalizaiton Number, Certification of Birth Abroad
For non U.S. Citizens, in addition to the required documents above bring one of the following:
Alien Registration Card, I-94 Form, Non-Immigration Visa

DUE TO FACILITY AND TIME CONSTRAINTS, PLEASE ENSURE YOUR APPLICATION IS COMPLETED AND YOU HAVE THE APPROPRIATE FORMS OF IDENTIFICATION WHEN ARRIVING FOR TRAINING. AN INCOMPLETE FORM OR LACK OF PROPER ID WILL RESULT IN DELAYS AND MAY RESULT IN YOU BEING REQUIRED TO RETURN AT A LATER DATE TO COMPLETE THE TRAINING PROCESS.
AOA Training classes will be held twice monthly.
Classes will be held on the second and fourth Wedensday of every month at 10:00 am by appointment only.
Evening and/or weekend classes may be offerred if there is sufficient demand.
Badge Pick-up Schedule - New Badges
You will be contacted when your badge is ready to be picked up. Badges will be available for pick-up Tuesdays through Thursdays between 10:00 AM and 12:00 Noon and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Weekend pick-up can be arranged by appointment only. Applicable badge fees will be due at the time of pick-up.
Badges expire on your birthday typically two years from being issued. You will not receive a reminder notice from Airport Management that the badge is close to expiring. The expiration date is clearly printed on the front of the badge to assist you in being prepared to arrange for a replacement. While we do our best to be available at anytime to replace expiring badges, it is best to call our office ahead of time to ensure staff will be on hand to issue a replacement badge. BADGES DUE TO EXPIRE MAY BE RENEWED NO SOONER THAN 30 DAYS PRIOR TO THE EXPIRATION DATE. FOR BADGES THAT HAVE EXPIRED, THE BADGE HOLDER MUST CONTACT AIRPORT MANAGEMENT NO LATER THAN 30 DAYS AFTER THE EXPIRATION DATE TO ARRANGE FOR IT'S RENEWAL. IF MANAGEMENT IS NOT CONTACTED WITHIN THIS TIME THE BADGE WILL BE DISABLED AND MARKED AS LOST. THE INDIVIDUAL WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A NEW BADGE APPLICATION, COMPLETE A NEW BACKGROUND SECURITY THREAT ASSESSMENT WITH THE TSA, PAY ALL ASSOCIATED FEES, AND ATTEND THE TRAINING CLASS PRIOR TO A NEW BADGE BEING ISSUED
Notices Regarding Airport ID's and Airport Security Issues
As a badge holder you are responsible for maintaining correct and current contact information with the Airport. Included in your contact information is your email address. Occassionally we will send out notices regarding changes to the Airport ID Badge or other security issues. We no longer send notices via US Mail but only by email.
